Welsh (Section B) Ponies,
known for their consistency of type, movement and kind temperaments.
Winners in shows across Wales and the West of England and
Europe, America and Australia.

About the Sarnau Stud

Winning at the Royal Welsh as a Yearlinga great influence on the Sarnau Stud.
After successfully shown as a yearling, including winning first at the Royal Welsh Show. Having stood at stud until he was 12, Sarnau Showman was then sold and exported to Germany.
Here he enjoyed further showing success,
including winning Champion at the International Welsh Pony Show.
At the same show, his son, Sarnau Pharoah
took the Youngstock Champion title
His many, many successful progeny
included stallions
Sarnau Saunter and Sarnau Rhodri
and Australian Champion mare Sarnau Saucy Sprite

Here he enjoyed further showing success,
including winning Youngstock Champion at the Dutch National Stallion Show.
Sadly, he died prematurely, though his Dutch progeny

Sold as a 'weanling' at the 2000 Fayre Oaks Sales, she was exported to the USA.
Here she has excelled, winning many Welsh (Section B) mare, English Pleasure, Western Pleasure, Hunter Ponies, Childs First Pony and Short Stirrup classes.
Her honours include the 'Legion of Merit' with the Welsh Pony and Cob Society of America (WPCSA), a lifetime award based on points won in hand and in performance.
Her proud owner, Sally Steinmetz describes her as 'a lovely pony with great movement and she has a very sweet disposition'.
